Northam LiveLighter Aged Care Games

On the 2nd March SRCWA held the Northam LiveLighter Aged Care Games, the day was a great success with 4 teams coming together from Dowerin, Brookton, York & Northam. All the games were played with great enthusiasm.

 Milton Brooks Manager Recreation Services Shire of Northam opened the games. Entertainment before the start and during the lunch break was provided by Jim Drysdale and Jenny Cole, they led the participants in a sing-a-long and everyone enjoyed their performance.

 Phil Paddon, MC for the day explained the games rules to the volunteers and then called the teams to the playing area and encouraged everyone to have a good time.

Congratulation to all the participants for coming and having a go, a big thank you to Karen Ducat and to the volunteers from the SRC Avon Branch and SRCWA State Office who helped make the day a great success.

The winners of the Northam LiveLighter Aged Care Games were:- 1st Dowerin HACC, 313 points, 2nd York All Stars 222 points & 3rd Killara Day Centre 199 points. The Best Presented Team was Kalkarni Curlews and the oldest competitor was Carmel Redding - Dowerin HACC 91 years young.
